Spiced Chocolate Smoothie
When you make the same smoothie four times in a week and a half, you know it’s time to share the love. This smoothie is thick and creamy like a frosty, with warming spices that fill it with flavor! I can’t recommend this seasonal smoothie enough.
dairy free, gluten free, soy free, added/refined sugar free
Yield: 1 smoothie
Ingredients
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice
1/3 cup frozen butternut squash
1/3 small banana
1 scoop chocolate protein
1 T cacao powder
3/4 cup liquid (unsweetened nut milk, dairy milk, or water, or a mix)
1.5 T psyllium husk
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of sea salt
1 cup of ice
optional: spoonful of Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
Directions
In a high speed blender, add all ingredients, besides ice
Blend on high. add ice and blend again
Top with cacao nibs, and flakey sea salt, if desired and enjoy immediately!
