Peppermint Matcha Latte
You may never want to purchase a matcha latte at a coffee shop again after you make this! Not only is it cozy and delicious; it’s made of organic, high quality ingredients that you won’t find in 99% of coffee shops.
dairy free, gluten free, added sugar free, nut free
Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients
1 serving of Pique matcha tea powder (I use 1/2 tsp but 1 tsp is a typical serving)
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup organic, unsweetened vanilla soy milk (barista blend almond milks will also froth well)
1/4 tsp organic peppermint extract
dash of cinnamon
Directions
Warm water on the stovetop; you’ll want it warm enough to drink, but not quite boiling. If boiled, let it cool off for a few minutes
While water is boiling, add 1/2 cup milk to a frother. In a mug, add matcha and pour water on top. Froth with a handheld frother, or a matcha whisk. add peppermint extract and a heavy shake of cinnamon, and froth again
When milk is frothed, pour milk over matcha mixture
Enjoy!
